About Dr. Angélica Herrera
Hi, I am Dr. Angélica Herrera. I grew up in Caracas, Venezuela, and attended Dental School at the University Central of Venezuela (UCV), completing my degree in Dentistry in 2002. After practicing General Dentistry for a few years, I pursued my passion: Orthodontics. I earned a Master's in Orthodontics from the same school in 2009. I worked as an associate orthodontist in Caracas for several years until I relocated to the United States. Committed to doing what I love – helping my patients get healthy and beautiful smiles – I enrolled in the Orthodontic Residency Program at the University of Puerto Rico, receiving my second degree in Orthodontics in 2022.
Having been an orthodontic patient as an adolescent changed not only my smile but also my life. I know what it feels like being on the other side of the chair, helping to better understand and care for my patients. Indeed, helping them achieve positive changes in their oral health and smile is my best reward.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends when I am not busy in the office. I have two beautiful daughters and one loving puppy “Susy.” I like to travel whenever I can; I love going to the movies and learning something new daily!
